I gather that is each and with the family being fans too, then with travel, etc. At least you know what you can get each other for Christmas and reassuringly you won't get stranded. I'm a bit curious about how this works.

So, if you buy a VIP package you are guaranteed the first couple of rows. Ok, fair enough if you want to be in the first couple of rows. What I'm wondering is the audience participation element of the concert. Are you more likely to be picked to go up onstage with him because you are naturally up the front? Or does he just go randomly and it doesn't matter if you are say for the hell of it 4-5 rows back (which seems far away for some reason).

Not saying it's a bad thing, just wondering.

I can see the point about queuing for ages too. Very interesting. I guess it would all depend on finances and what you can afford to your concert experience. As for the party thing.. hmmmm Eat Your Hearts Out caterering, sounds a bit of an understatement from what has been said. lol!

You are much more likely to get picked by Darren to go on stage if you are in the first couple of rows. Both London nights, girls were picked from the far left hand front of stage.

I have to say that Jen and Greg from GSG entertainment were very nice and friendly and if you asked them for something they would go out of their way to do it for you like pass stuff onto Darren etc. I have no complaint with either of them. It was mostly the staff at SBE who were annoying. They seemed to treat the VIP's much better and more courteously than the ordinary fans waiting outside.

Upon entering the venue, Terry and I were told to get rid of our water bottles! Joyce had her camera taken off her and when Terry went to the loo, they almost refused to let her back in to where I was standing! There was also annoyance outside when they put the barriers up as people who had queued since early on in the day were just pushed right back and lost their place in the queue. I guess going VIP avoided all of that.

Thanks for explaining the pro's and con's of VIP packages and stuff. So, do you think that the left hand side of the stage is about to become, dare I say it, popular now with a couple of concerts remaining? lol! I can just imagine this swamp of fans packed onto the left hand side and a huge empty expanse on the right.

I'll have to ask her once she gets back from the concerts. They were searching people's bags as we went in so that's probably how it got taken from her. Mine was hidden right down at the bottom of a very capacious bag that night and the first night I hid it down my jeans LOL But then as I did VIP the first night I didn't get searched at all!
